EPSOM TROTS

Solid Fields For Patriotic Meeting JOSEDALE GRATTAN'S TASK The solid acceptances received for the Auckland Trotting Club's patriotic meeting to be held at Alexandra Park on Saturday next augurs well for a most successful meeting. THAMES MKKTING

A programme of seven races has been drawn up by the Thames Jockey Club for its winter meeting at Paeroa on August 8. There are two steeplechases and one hurdle race, while the principal flat event is to be run over a mile and a quarter. An open sprint and two hack sprints complete the card, and, should either hack event have to be divided, it will doubtless be treated as an additional race.
