MOUNT ALBERT E.P.S.
DONATION OP LAMPS
Through the activities of the Mount Albert Happiness Club, the ten rest centres in the Mount Albert district will be supplied with hurricane lamps for use in an emergency should electricity not be available. In thanking Mrs. Woodhams, who presented the cheque on behalf of the Happiness Club, Mrs. H. A. Anderson explained that these centres were set up where mothers and babies and expectant mothers could be cared for during an emergency. The cheque would more than cover the cost of the hurricane lamps, and it was proposed to use the surplus in providing two wall lamps for each centre. Mrs. Anderson, who is woman warden of the E.P.S. Women's Auxiliary in Mount Albert, complimented the club on their public spirited action which had made emergency lighting possible for the rest centres.
