NEWSPAPERS LISTED
WAR INDUSTRIES IN CANADA
Rec. 2 p.m OTTAWA, July 14. Newspapermen have been listed under Section 15 of the National War Services Regulations. This section provides that the Minister may furnish the selective service boards with lists deemed essential for the war. A firm engaged in any activity so listed is termed a war Industry. However, listing does not mean that service is automatically deferred. Each case will be considered on its merits. The listing merely gives the boards special deferment power.
