PONSONBY CARNIVAL
The Ponsonby branch of the Auckland Residential Nurses' Society held a carnival t the Bayfield School playing ground, ,\ 01 . S u , ;on Saturday afternoon. Despite the bad weather there was a large attendance. The carnival was formally opened by the Mayoress (Mrs. Allum), ® utllned th e objects of the society | and the purposes for which the money was required. Attractive stalls laden with foods resulted in a substantial sum of I money being realised. The carnival was organised bv Mrs. JWJtoUick.
