A DAY'S EXTENSION

LIBERTY LOAN APPLICATIONS CLOSING NOW ON WEDNESDAY (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Reserve Bank announced today that the time for receiving applications for the Liberty loan has been extended by one day and the loan will now close on Wednesday. Applications mailed with the post mark June 3 will be accepted. RECEIPTS TOTAL. £13,469,710 (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The Reserve Bank reports that Liberty Loan receipts to noon yesterday amounted to £13,469,710. Saturday morning's subscriptions totalled £1,039,600. The applications for each class are as follow:—21 per cent 1947 stock, £4,966,250; 3 per cent j 1952-55 stock, £8,503,460.
