IN WELLINGTON RAIN ON TWENTY-TWO DAYS (P.A.) WELLINGTON, this day. Though it just managed to beat the rainfall record by the couple of points that fell on Sunday, May just gone was easily the most sunless ever experienced in Wellington, the hours of sunshine totalling 66.5, as against the normal 130.4. Rain fell on 22 days, registering 11.85 in, as against the normal rainfall of 4.16 in. Six gales made it the second windiest May recorded. Temperatures were practically normal, being an average of 52 degrees, as against 51.4.
