ENEMY CONVOY HIT
Four Ships Left Burning After R.A.F. Attack SUPPLIES FOR -N AZI FORCES Rec. 1 p.m. RUGBY, May 20. A further shortage of supplies for the German garrisons in northern Norway is assured by an attack by Coastai Command aircraft last night on a north-bound enemy convoy off the Frisian Islands. Four ships in the convov were left burning after the attack] which was carried out by Lockheed Hudsons. Hits were probably made on other ships as well. One of our planes is missing. There was some enemy activity near the east coast of England last night Bombs were dropped, but onlv slight damage was reported. During one R.A.F. fighter sweep over northern France to-day two enemy fighters were destroyed. One of ours is missing. _ , , Hurricanes and Bostons attacked aerodromes and railway objectives in occupied territory during the night Hits were seen on runways and airfields, some pilots going down low through thick belts of cloud to reach their target.
