COLLEGE RAID SHELTER

An air raid shelter is being constructed by means of a concrete wall at the Seddon Memorial Technical College, for the use of pupils and staff in the event of a raid. The wall is being built inside the railings in front of the building in Wellesley Street. When completed it will protect the basement rooms from splinters or bomb blast and will form a shelter able to accommodate a large number of people.
