The future called for thorough investigation by the board of all methods by which more passengeis could be carried.
Revenue Outlook Mr. Sayegh added that there* was no doubt in his mind that the in-n-rase in revenue and consequent increase in surplus was mainly due to benzine restrictions, and, with the possibility of further restrictions, the board could expect the present revenue to continue. It would be unwise, however, to expect that the conditions would last more than a limited period. In reference to staff shortage, Mr. Sayegh said that up to March 31 223 i f the board's staff had left for active service. Arrangements had been made to employ women conductors on the trams. The number was likely tn increase if further men were called up, or if it became necessary to operate an increased service during the day.
