The Canadian Minister of Justice l r ' V ouis St - Laurent, announced in the House of Commons to-day that action will be taken against Mr. Rene Chaloult, a member of the Quebec Legislature, under the Defence oi Canada regulations, as a result ol statements contained in a speech bv M r - Chaloult at Montreal on Ma\ 19. The Minister said his officialhad studied Press reports of Mr. Chaloult's speech and advised that they clearly disclosed subversive intention. Mr. Chaloult complained in theQuebec Parliament that newspaper reports of his speech were inaccurate and unwarranted by what waaetuallV said.
