WINTER SPORT
DOUBLE SOCCER "BILL" COMBINED XIII. MEETS RICHMOND The outstanding sporting event to-mor-row will be the appearance of the Tank Brigade XI. against Air Force at Blandford Park, where the curtain-raiser is a senior championship engagement between Eastern Suburbs and Mount Albert Grammar Old Boys.
On Monday the Auckland representatives will tackle the Navy in a Drummond Cup challenge. The main game at Carlaw Park tomorrow is City-Otahuhu v. Richmond. There will be no representative match at Carlaw Park on the King's Birthday, as the South Auckland miners are working. The principal Rugby fixture for Saturday is Manukau v. M.T.P. on the Eden Park Oval, but a more exciting "battle" is likely to take place at Tahoroto Park, Takapuna, where the adversaries are Garrison and C.R.O. Four senior hockey contests have been arranged for Hobson Park, where the annual seven-a-side tournament will be staged on Monday.
