ALLIED AIRMEN KILLED
FATAL AUSTRALIAN CRASH Rec. 1 p.m. MELBOURNE, this day. When a United States Army transport plane crashed at Alice Springs yesterday nine American airmen and a pay officer and two Australian airmen were killed. It is stated at Allied headquarters that motor failure is believed to have caused the crash.
