SYDNEY WOOL FIRE
SCOURING WORKS DAMAGED Rec. 11.30 a.m. SYDNEY, this day. A large fire, which caused £20,000 damage at the wool-scouring works of F. W. Hughes, Proprietary, at Botany Bay kept the army and firemen fully employed this afternoon and evening and enveloped the whole neighbourhood with dense smoke and unpleasant odours. The factory opposite was also damaged by fire.
