TRAINING PLAN
GOVERNMENT SCHEME
WELFARE AND RECREATION
Fourteen young women in the Waikato district have gained leaders' certificates fcr their training under the Government scheme for physical welfare and recreation.
The names of the successful trainees are:—Mesdames J. Calderwood and J. Robinson, of Hamilton, L. Pond and H. Irvine, of Matamata. Misses J. Petch B. Pountney, B. Gilbert, E. Morris, D. Robertson, of Hamilton, D. Reason, M. McLanahan, S. Jcnes, of Morrinsville, E. V. Bell and D. Cranswick, of Matamata.
The Minister of Internal Affairs. Mr. Parry, stated to-day that the leaders' certificate was based on both a practical and a theoretical course of training. Trainees were required to undergo 100 hours at least of training. Certificates were granted to all who reached the prescribed standard of efficiency.
The Minister is to present the certificates during his visit to the Waikato next week.
