OBITUARY
MR. T. D. JOVANOVICH
Mr. Teodor David Jovanovich, a member of the Yugoslav community, has died at the age of 64. Born at Vasojevici, in the former kingdom of Montenegro, Mr. Jovanovich belonged to a well-known patriotic family, and as a young man he became an officer in the Montenegrin Army, being attached to the late King Nicholas' guards. He left his homeland about 40 vears ago, and came to New Zealand, settling at Te Kopuru, Northern Wairoa, where he established a business. He was not married.
MR. GEORGE GIBBS
The death has occurred at the age of 85 of Mr. George Gibbs, of Wairoa A first cousin of Lord Passfield Mr Gibbs was born at Dover. He arrived in New Zealand in 1888 having previously travelled extensively. Mr. Gibbs took up residence first in Wellington, but later he moved to Gisborne, and finally went to Wairoa. He is survived by three daughters.
