A STEADY MARKET NATIONAL BANKS FIRMER Buying support was firm for most equities on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day but the turnover was less than yesterday's, mainly through sellers remaining aloof. National Banks of New Zealand, changing hands at £1 18/3, made a step towards recovery. With offers at £27 15/*, sellers disappeared for Bank of New South Wales. Buyers for Coles were in at the late sale price. £2 7/, holders being only 6d away. Several lines of Government stock were on offer.
