CANTERBURY SELECTORS
THREE ALL BLACKS APPOINTED Mr. C. J. Oliver, Flight-Lieutenant J. D. Mackav, and W. 0.1. P. W. Storey will select the Canterbury representative Rugby teams this year. All have represented New Zealand, and they were elected by the management committee of the Canterbury Union from five nominations. All three selectors are present members of the management committee of the union. The nominations were: Flight-Lieutenant J. D. Mackay (nominated by Air Forcc), Messrs. C. J. Oliver (Merivale and Linwood), L. G. Loveridge (University and Athletic). D. Cpllanan (Athletic), and W. 0.1. P. W.* Storey (Army). Mr. J. N. Clarke was also nominated by the New Brighton Club, but did not accept n^min^fion. After the counting of the firs' ballot the president; (Mr. E. V. Phillips) "nnonnced thit FlightLieutenant Mackay and Mr. Oliver were elected. A further ballot was necessiry becavse of a tie between W. 0.1 Storey and Mr. Loveridge. W. 0.1 Storey was successful in this ballot.
