AWARUA RETURNS.
15 PASSENGERS CARRIED. SOME CONTINUING TO U.S.A. Tasman Empire Airways' flying boat Awarua arrived back from Sydney on her return flight shortly after 2 p.m. to-day. Captain J. W. Burgess was in command and 15 passengers and a large amount of freight and mails was carried. Passengers for Auckland were Messrs. A. Lambert, S. Williams, A. Aldridge, N. Naismith, Mrs. N. Naismith and infant, and Miss F. Bell. Eight other passengers, Dr. L. Jona and Messrs. G. Tait, T. Skillman, A. Simonds, W. Death, M. Blom, T. Thye and M. Whiting, will continue on to San Francisco by PanAmerican Airways' Honolulu Clipper to-morrow morning. The Awarua carried 258 kilos of mail for New Zealand, 87 kilos of mail for America, seven kilps of freight for New Zealand and 42 kilos of freight for America.
