Berlin Claims Successful Raids.
BOMBERS OVER ENGLAND. (Reed, noon.) LONDON, Sept. 25. A Berlin communique states: "Our air force bombed a number of military targets at Dover, Folkestone, Ashford, Hastings, Newhaven, Brighton and Southampton. Several successful air battles were foujjht. "One merchantman was sunk and another merchantman set on fire off the south-east coast of Ireland. Another was heavily damaged by a bomb off Northern Ireland. A speed boat sank a merchantman off the south coast of England. "Our air force took strong reprisal action against London targets and also the Liverpool and Cardiff docks. The enemy lost 20 planes. Four of ours are missing. Majors Moeldera and Galland won their 40th air victories."
