KING'S STEEPLES.
COLEMAN AND I>. DARHOW WINNERS. The course for the senior championship in the King's College steeplechases yesterday at Middlemore was altered. It reduced the length of hard roads to be traversed, and most of the course was over turf, with a considerable number of hazards. Under the school conditions, governing records, times will not be established for the new course until five years have elapsed. P. T. Coleman, who was the first to complete the sen'or course, went to the lead near the end of the first round, and maintained this position throughout the second round. His time was 30.14. D. DarroW, who won the junior race, completed the course in 15.24. The best performance previously was 15.16. The results were:— Seniors.—F. T. Coleman 1, B. Morris 2, B. E. Lewisham 3, M. D. Nash 4, R. J. Stanton 5, Q. R. B. Fisher 6, G. T. Rollo 7, A. H. Knight 8. Juniors.—D. Darrow 1, J. Darrow 2, V. Crawford 3. D. K. Ower 4. F. W. Lemmon 5/ R. S Fendall 6, J. C. Grierson 7, W. K. Connolly 8.
