FINAL ON SATURDAY.

Richmond and Ponsonby will meet in the final of the Roope Rooster at Carlaw Park on Saturday. The rules provide that in the event of the teams being eijual at the final bell, Wo extra spells of five minutes shall be x>layecl. In the event of the scores still being equal, a replay will be necessary. At the meeting of the management board last night, Mr. G. Grey Campbell presiding, it was decided to convey to the Ambulance authorities a complaint made by the Referees Association that no St. John official was present at the Stadium, Western Springs, last Saturday. Mr. E. Chapman, chairman of the junior control board, reported that Otahuhu had won the third grade championship and City the fourth grade. Otahuhu will play at Sturges Park on Saturday against a representative junior team. The Mount Albert overseas services gift fund committee wrote expressing appreciation for a donation from the League Permission was granted the Old Players* Association to play a match at Carlaw Park against South Auckland, either on October 12 or 19. Following a report from a sub-committee, iit was decided to make presentations of caps to teams winning honours in club championships this season.
