PERSONAL.
The Rev. E. W. Hancock, of Te Kuiti, has entered camp as a military chaplain. Mr. Harvey Turner was a passenger for Wellington by air yesterday. The Hon. M.--Briggg, M.L.C., was a ■passenger on the main trunk express for Wellington this afternoon. The Hon. Sir Apirana Xgata, M.P.. arrived in Auckland by the Limited express from Wellington this morning. Mr. C. Beloe, of Patumahoe. has been elected employees' representative on the board of managers of the Pukekohe Technical High School, in succession to Mr. R. Latimer, of Pukekohe. Staff-Sergeant-Major R. W. Borland has been promoted to the rank of Second Lieutenant and will take charge of the sick and wounded records at Southern Military Headquarters, Christchurch. Mr. L. Stewart, who has been on the staff of St. Andrew's College, C-hristchurch, for about 20 years, will be headmaster during the absence of Lieutenant-Colonel J. B. Mawfion in the military forces. Mr. Stewart served with the Royal Air Force in the Great War.
