MITCHELL—HUGHES.

BRIDE IN WHITE NET. St. Judc's Church, Avondale was the setting for a pretty wedding yesterday evening, when Miss Mona Eugenia Hughes, fourth daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hughes, of Birch Street, Avondale, and granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tims, late of "Burleigh," Epsom, was married to Private Andrew Mitchell, third son of Mr. Charles Mitchell and the late Mrs. Mitchell, Point Chevalier. The ceremony took place at C p.m., the Kev. H. R. Jecks officiating.

A charming frock of white net with lace medallions was worn by the bride, who was given away by her father. Cut on full picture lin.es, the frock was woru over a pale pink satin rslip, while the pale pink veil was caught 011 top of the head with orange blossom to match. The bride's bouquet was of carnations and rosea ill the same shade of pink and white. 111 attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Irene lvalues (chief) and Miss Ada Mitchell, nicctt of the bridegroom. They looked charming in frocks of cornflower blue taffeta and vieux rose respectively. The gowns were finished with silver, and halos to match were worn. Their ibouijuets were of pink carnations, anemones nad sweet peas. Mr. Xornian Hughes, brother of the bride, was in attendance as best man. A reception was later held at the home of the bride's parents, Mrs. Hughes receiving lu>r guests in a frock of blue wool crepe with a pin-tucked panel in front, and finished with a row of tiny buttons. She wore a hat to match, and carried a bouquet of cyclamen. Mrs. Arthur Addison, sister" of the bridegroom, wore a black ensemble relieved with white, a black liat and an eve veil and a fur.
