PARTY ARRIVES.
ENGLISH CHILDREN. HOME IN DOMINION. Accompanied Jbj their mothers, or under escort and coming to New Zealand to join relatives, a group of English children has reached Auckland. There are- several infants in tha party, and ages of the others range up to sixteen years. Most of them have lived in the south of England, where air raid* have been frequent, and have had actual experience of the horrors of air warfare.
The visitore were met by representatives of the Government, and the British Children Placement Committee.
None of the children have come to New Zealand under the placement scheme which ha* been prepared and in connection with which a large number of home* in Auckland have been offered.
