As one who thinks in terms of free trade., the sovereignty of the individual, voluntary association and the free contract, may I be permitted to replv to your correspondent, M. L. Bond. From an economic viewpoint the proposal » sound, as it contacts producer and consumer direct, thus doing away with all unnecessary added costs which artificially increase the price of goods, commodities and produce. One can quite understand why a mentality peculiar to the present economic and social evstem is opposed to a band of co-operators, who want no man* property but only that they shall not be hindered in creating new wealth for themselves, through such mediums as an open market.
