NATIONAL BASIS SUGGESTED. WELLINGTON, this day. The appeal made to pupils by the headmaster of the Dominion Road School, Auckland, to forego their Guy Fawkes' celebrations and devote the funds to patriotic purpose* has been brought under the notice of the Governor-General, Lord Galway, by the school committee secretary, who suggeste the possibility of making the appeal a national one.
