AMUSEMENTS.
ROXY-TIVOLI. The drama behind the men who fight crime with teans is the impelling theme of Warner Brothers' "Tear Gas Squad," which will open an Auckland season at the Roxy and Tivoli Theatres to-morrow. Seen in main roles are Dennis Morgan. John Payne and Gloria Dickson—three of Hollywood's younge?; and most promising players. Dennia Morgan is afforded a chance to use his fine baritone voice in fteveral numbers written for him by Moe K. Jerome and Jack School, well known ■for their "Little Buckaroo," while John Payne and Miss Dickson are cast in parts which are worthy of their special talents. The story revolves around Jerry Sullivan, portrayed by Gloria Dickson. whose family history k crammed with tradition of stouthearted men who have made their mark on New York's police force. Associate attraction is a turf melodrama "Pride of the Blue Grass," which is the picture previously known and widely publicised as "Gantry the Great."
