WANTS ANOTHER CHANCE.

PUNCH WOULD HAVE KNOCKED ANYBODY. Some of those who went to the Town Hall last night did not see the sensational first and only round. They were still hawing a smoke outside, not having heard the opening gong. Naturally they were disappointed. But not as much as Lea Brainier. When he arrived from Sydney last week he commented that it was a long way to come for one fight. That it would be the shortest in his career never occurred to him. Brander reckons that the punch which he stopped would have knocked anybody. Ringside critics agree with him, and also think he was unlucky to stop such a blow before he had really settled down. Brander expressed his disappointment to the officials of the Auckland Boxing Association this morning that he had been so quickly defeated in the match which the association has been endeavouring to make suitably for a couple of months. Brander wanted another chance. The association is considering the matter.
