75TH ANNIVERSARY.
SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION. Led by the Salvation Army Land from the top of Synionds Street to Pitt Street Methodist Church, a procession of witness, in which over 200 officials, teachers and workers took part yesterday commenced the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Auckland Sunday School Union. At the church the main address in the thanksgiving service was given by the Rev. E. T. Olds, president of the Auckland Sunday School Union. Taking as his subject "Our Debt to the Tast" he traversed the good work of the union since its foundation. A part of the service was taken by five past presidents, Messrs. W. H. Newton, L. E. Falkner, J. \V. Court, W. D. M. Glaister and F. Rowe, and also by Mr. E. H. Pain, who was backblocks missioner for the union for 25 years. The celebrations will be continued with a reunion banquet of Sunday school workers on Thursday night and a scholars' rally in the Town Hall on Saturday evening.
