OBITUARY.

MR. WILLIAM SCOTT. FORMER RAILWAY OFFICER. The death has occurred of Mr. William Scott at his home at Bracken Avenue, Epsom, aged 80 years. He came to New Zealand with his parents in the ship Auckland in 1874, and as a youth he entered the service of the Railway Department. He was in charge of the locomotive section in various parts of New Zealand, and' was occupying this position when he retired in 1921 after 44 years' service as a railwayman. He had been an elder at St. David's Presbyterian Church for the 14 years prior to his death. He is survived by two sons and two daughters.
