In a fast and willing 12-rounds boxing contest between Young Gildo and Clarrie Rayner at the Opera House last night the decision was a draw (Press Assn.) WELLINGTON CHAMPIONS. WELLINGTON. Sunday. Because many of last year's performers had Joined the forces, entries for the 1940 Wellington amateur boxing championships decided in the Town Hall last night were not so numerous as In oast years, nor was the standard so high as usual. Not a single champion jr. the senior or junior divisions was on hand to defend his title. Nevertheless, there was some promising talent among the newcomers.
