MANUKAU YACHT CLUB.

The Manukau Yacht Club was started 49 years ago. The first meeting was held on September 21. 1891. and to-day the club enters In Its 50th year of successive activities. The occasion Is to be celebrated this evening by a gathering ot old and present members In the clubhouse. The president. Mr. ven. Bray, will preside and at 9 p.m. he will unveil an honours board containing the names of all past executive officers, viz.. presidents, commodores, secretaries and treasurers. A special jubilee committee, of which Mr. E. Laird is chairman, has been at work for the past 12 months collecting records of the club, which are now complete. Several of the foundation members are expected to be present this evening includine Messrs. A. McLeod. the Jeffs brothers. W. Grundy, and D. Sutherland.
