In spite of the last-minute withdrawal of Beaulivre, a high-class field, including High Caste, Reading, Beau Vite and Mildura, will contest the Hill Stakes, to be run at the Rosehill Club's Red Cross meeting at Randwick on Saturday. Prominent Derby candidates will compete in the Rosehill Guineas. Beau Vite ran seven furlongs in 1.27% at Randwick to-day. Others who showed to advantage were Hope, Mildura, Mosaic, Tidal Wave. Flying Knight, Panchio, Buzalong and Reading. The last-named, ■looking in superb condition, worked convincingly. Beaupartir has not been working well and is under observation by a veterinary surgeon.
