"The Times" Stockholm correspondent reports that dozens of British barrage balloons drifted over southwest and western Sweden yesterday, trailing steel cables, which are damaging the electricity supply and other communications.. - The balloons drifted ,300, miles across Sweden.; 'Flanee, anti-aircraft batteries and - Home' Guards attempted. to. bring them) down,, and were occasionally buccessifiil;■'•'',':' ■■ ,■ ,■'■■'' Electric • train, geryicps ,in western Sweden;'were interrupted by" "the balloons, and trams in Gothenburg were halted. Several southern Swedish communitiea were blacked out. Forty balloons have been reported over Denmark, where much damage has been -caused.'The power has been cut off in the whole of South Jutland. One baljtoon has been' reported over Helsinki, capital of Finland. It is officially stated in Berlin that German pursuit 'planes have brought down 920 British balloons adrift on the Continent.
