BOBBY CALVES.
Mr. Aekins expects the general po&lie to report cases of cruelty to the S.P.C.A. This they -will not do. Therefore, cruelty must take place before etcps are taken to punish offenders, instead of the inspector pointing out -what leads to cruelty and thus preventing much pain.' When people see so much unnecessary pain inflicted on animals, especially calves, as your many correspondents, point out, they naturally wish to. know why it is not prevented. "What is the'S.P.CA. for?" they ask. Obviate these numerous horrid eases of cruelty, and faith will he restored to those who" are animal lovers. Your correspondents will not "pay the piper" and not fie allowed to call the tune. ANTI-HUMBUG.
