AUCKLAND'S FINE RUGBY REP. RECORD RECOGNISED BY UNION

On the motion of the chairman, Mr. A. A. Baker, it was decided to <j«ngratulate the eole selector, Mr. F. W. Lucas, his assistant coaches, Messrs. A. A. Lucas and C. IS. Cammick, and N. C. Pearman, captain of Che team. A photograph of the team is to be presented to each member and to Mr. F. W. Lucas.

After the report of Mr. A. Tilly, manager of the team to Wellington last week, had been read it was agreed to forward a letter of thanks to the Wellington union for its hospitality. A telegram from Mr. O. A. Maddlson. ef Hawke's Bay (a member of the New Zealand Rugby Council) congratulating the Auckland Union upon the success of its representative programme

The Suburbs Club made application for a senior match to be played at Avondale Racecourse, and It was referred to the match committee with a favourable recommendation.

Eden Club applied for permission to play a match on Saturday week between past and present members of the club. The application was approved, and permission was given for the taking up of a collection.

The New Zealand Railways Institute was granted permission to conduct a match between teams representing the Auckland and Wellington railway cadets at the Ellcrslle Domain at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday next.

The chairman made reference to the death of Mrs. Farrell. mother of Mr. R. L. Farrell, a member of the committee, and members stood in silence 38 a vote of sympathy was passed.
