Congress Admiration Of British Bravery. VIOLENCE POLICY ALTERED. (Reed. 9.30 a.m.) BOMBAY. Sept. 17. The All-India Congress Committee has overwhelmingly ratified the executive's resolution expressing admiration for the bravery of the British nation, and saying tliat it does not desire «t present to extend non-violent resistance beyond what is required for the preservation of the liberties of the people. The Congress Committee, by lt'2 votes to 7, re-eleeled Caudlii as their leader. NAVY CASUALTIES. (Reed. 11 a.m.) LOXDOX. Sept- 17. An Admiralty casualty list contains the names of SO4 from various warzones. not connected with any particular [operation or ship. Thirty-one officers and 101 ratings were killed. 30 officers and 210 ratings are missing, and ."(I officers and 2<>!» ratinjr- wonnded. Six officers are reported to be prisoners.
