CHRISTMAS MAILS.

EARLY POSTING ADVISED. Officials at the Auckland Post Office stated this morning that it was not possible to say when the last mail for Great Britain, to arrive there before Christmas, would clo.e at Auckland. It was advisable, however, that Christmas mails for overseas, particularly for members of the Xew Zealand "armed forces abroad, should be posted as earlv as possible, as it was anticipated that heavy shipments would he sent forward.
