"LILLIAN RUSSELL."
CENTURY THEATRE OFFERING. The life and loves of Lillian Russell, belle of another generation, are brought to the screen by Alice Fay in a motion picture into which Darryl F. Zanuck has incorporated the wealth of elements out of which entertainment is made —glamour, song, costume brilliance, famous names and places and action. The film, which opens a season at' the Century Theatre on Friday, follows the career of the great Lillian from her birth as Helen Leonard in Clinton, lowa, back in Civil War davs, and she is ably interpreted by Alice Faye. who is supported by Henry Fonda and Don Ameche. The storv of the woman whose beauty had the world at her feet and the adoration of the greatest in the world, is an enthralling one, and patrons are assured of seeing a film that is miles above tJie average. The plot about which the film story develops is exciting and interesting.
