AUCKLAND BANDS.

COUNCIL SUBSIDIES. The Auckland City Council has allocated £475 as subsidies to the following bands in the city:—Auckland Artillery, First Battalion Auckland Regiment, Waterside Workers' Silver Band, each f 100; Te Akarana Girls' Band, Ponsoniby Boys' Brass Band, Auckland City Boys' Band, Band of the Jubilee Blind Institute, Salvation Army Congress Hall Band, Auckland District Pipe Band, and St. Andrew's Pipe Band, each £25.
