EVACUATION TAXING PLACE. WELLINGTON", Monday. No definite information is vet available of the probable date of the arrival m the Dominion of British children to be officially evacuated. The Minister cf Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, stated to-night that beyond advice thss the evacuation scheme "prepared will be' carried out, no other information could be given at present. ' The keenness of the interest evinced in the scheme by New Zealanders," Mr. Parry added, 'leads to very many inquiries daily by members of the community anxious to have children in their homes. I wish it- were possible to let them have some definite news. This, however, will come later and the Government will be prompt in supplying it to the people."—(Press Assn.)
