Life Of House Of Commons May Be Prolonged. SPECIAL LEGISLATION. British Official Wireless. (Reed. 1.30 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 16. It is expected that the Prime Minister will make an early statement in the Houso of Commons regarding the prolongation of the life of the present Parliament which, by the terms of the Parliament Act, automatically ends on November 20. The maximum life of five years since last general election would be completed on that date. During the four years war the life of Parliament was similarly prolonged by special legislation, when the House of Commons, which was elected in January, 1911, continued in existence until November 25, 1018. '
