TAKAPUNA'S WATER.
Takapuna water has not beta in the news of late. This must be pur* apathy, or have the unfortunate residents 'become accustomed to conditions and given up all hope? On the other hand tf« emell i* much wonsc. From the tap it smells much like ewamp water in a <hx summer, while hot from the it l>ejrparw description; only after a literal duc-tinir with bath powder is one fit to associate with civilised peujile. As fo f the taste, it i> even worse than uMJaI and quite unfit for drinkiiip-. With thei>e conditions after a <lrv winter, what are we to expect this cominjr *uw mer* We seem in -much the -jv-titioa of the Ancient Mariner, without hi* good excuse: Water, water, everruher-. Nor any drop to drint.
