SANKEY CENTENARY.

To celebrate the 100 th anniversary of the birth of Ira D. Sankey, the famous evangelist, a special centenary service, held in the Town Hall yesterday afternoon, was attended by about 2000 people. I Many of the hymns first made popular during campaigns conducted by Sankey and D. L. Moody were eung by the congregation, also a number of solos by IMr*. C. Reay, the Rev. G. M. Yule and Mr. George Ayo. Mr. A. E. Wilson presided at the organ. The Rev. C. Reay, of Hamilton, delivered an address.
