REMAND OBTAINED.
YOUNG WOMAN'S ARREST. ALLEGED THEFT OF £996. A clerk, Phyllis Olive Barnett, aged 30, in the Police Court this morning, was charged before Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., that on April 20 last, being a clerk in the employ of Robert Urquhart, she stole £996, the property of Robert Urquhart. Detectiye-Sergeaii"' Walsli, who said accused was arrested this morning bv Detectives W. Slater and C. Lane, asked for a remand until next Thursday. Accused, for whom Mr. Beckerleg appeared, was remanded on bail in two sureties, each of £200.
