WHANGAREI MEETING.
WHANOAREI. this day. On account, of the proposed territorial camp at Kensington Park during the month of October It seems hardly likely that the Whangarel Racine Club will be able to hold its spring meeting on November 1 and 3. Every effort Is being made by the club to hold the meeting, said the president. Mr. R. a. Hosklng. to-day. At a meeting of the executive last night it was decided to communicate with the Minister of Defence with a view to obtaining definite information, without which the club Is unable to proceed with Its arrangements for the meeting. In the meantime the club Is proceeding with Its policy of Improvement. Painting of the buildings at the park has been completed. A tender for the construction of loose boxes and a new Judge's box, works approved by the annual meeting. have been let, and these facilities will be available lot lb* spring meeting II kaM.
