THE SPRING FIXTURE. PROGRAMME FOR TO-MORROW (GLANCE AT RECENT FORM. Excellent have been attracted for the spring meeting of the Avondale Jockey Club, which opens at Avondale to-morrow, and with fine weather the gointr should be in fine order and some splendid racing provider!. Small Boy has proved himself a pood Jumper, while Knight of Australia won on a couple of occasions last season and has been working: well. Midland has performed wfll over hurdles recently, while Ringshot. after the way he has been schooling, will have to be considered. Little Ruse and Race Whip finished in that order at Matamata in July, and The Trimmer was third to Bright Idea and Midland at the Pakuranga meeting. Perhaps Midland. Ringshot and Kaiwaka may claim most attention. Airport, who is in the first division of the Trial Plate, was fourth in his last four starts last season, and has been galloping well at. Takanini. Expellant was in the money at Trentham. and was narrowly beaten at the Pakuranga meeting by Rex Maitland. Glen Connell was second to Joan Peel over six furlongs Matamata in July, while Rara Avis was second to Joy Vaals at Rotorua over five and a-half furlongs. Volifox was third to Marshall Hall and Belle Femme in the Onslon Stakes, six f irlongs. at Ellerslie. at Easter, besides being placed on other occasions last season. She looks well. Expellant and Glen Connell may have support. Cheddington. who is in the second division, was not brought to the meeting. Pleuvon was third to Hunting Bee and Esquire over a mile and 160 yards at Rotorua. and has been working well at Ellerslie. Venture was narrowly beaten by Milanion over a mile at the Pakuranga meeting, and should again be hard to dispose of. Venture and Pleuron may make most appeal. The Hack Sl*. Hum-a-Song raced well in hack company last season, and wound up by defeating Llangollen in open company over six furlongs at Rotorua. He is now topweight in the Henderson Handicap. Selwyn won over seven furlongs at Avondale last. April, and was nbt started again until he contested n division of the Sylvia Park Handicap, six furlongs, at the Pakuranga meeting, in which h« ran fourth. Rex Maitland won at the latter meeting, while Monte Cristo scored over six furlongs at Te Rapa in May and was third to Rex Maitland and Expellant at Ellerslie last month. Mysito was placed in his last three starts as a two-year-old last season, but Brahman has not raced since the Taranakl meeting in March, where he was in the money. Chain Acre won a five furlong event at Pukekohe last season, and was second in a similar race at Paeroa later. Biddy Girl won the Waipa Plate, six furlongs and a-half. at Te Awamutu last season, and was placed on other occasions. She has been going aloi« nicely at Ellerslie. Te Haka was successful over six furlongs at Matamata last July, which was his last start. Calula Boy beat Grandora and others in the Rakino Handicap, five furlongs, at Ellerslie in November, and he has been galloping In good style. Kraal only started once as a two-year-old last season, and won. He has been galloping attractively at Takanini. Kindergarten showed useful form last season and looks in good order, while of the others Moneyspinner and Sieglinde look the best. Hum-a-Song, Monte Cristo and Kraal may b* In request.

Beau Repalre was a good performer last term, and won the Wellington Racing Club Handicap, one mile and three furlong*. at the summer meeting at Trentham In January, which was his last success. He has been going along the right way at Te Rapa. Sly Fox looks In good heart, and he would only need to reproduce his best to be very troubletome. The recent racing he has had has brought him on a good deal. Our Jean won over a mile and three furlongs last season, and with 712. after her good sprint effort at Ellerslie last month. Flying Acre has run some good races over the distance, and was narrowly beaten In the Jelllcoe Handicap, one mile, at the Pakuranga fixture a few weeks ago.
