Aβ a rtwnwr on the vehicle bat that left Devonport at 12.8 a.m. on Sα* day, I witnessed an example of tte Auckland motorist* , appreciation of e«r fighting forces, on which I fed eoepelied to report. The aervicem* concerned were three roung RSLVJIt boy« about 30 years of 'age, and dtmag : the course of conversation I aseertalati th»t they were all Auckland* n>, "luckily* «nJ that their ship had ju#t return*! from three week*' mine sweeping. However, my complaint ie that during tht ferry trip very heavy rain fell, and net one of the motorists* asked the boys fa •helter in their car nor offered then? a lift. A* we stepped off the boat, I «*• marked on the motorfcts , strange attitude, and one of the boy« mention! that they had received such wonderM treatment when ashore in the South ttat experience* of that mornin? rather weat unnoticed. THUMBS UP."
