NATIVE CHURCH BOARD.

EOTORUA, thill day. The Rt. Rev. F. A. Bennett, Bishop of Aotearoa, accompanied by Canon W. G. Williame, arrived at Rotorua yesterday from Napier. To-day the bishop will preside at a.meeting of the Native Church Board of the Taur,anga Archdeaconry. These gatherings correspond to the annual synod of Maori clergy and laymen from each archdeaconry. The meeting began at 10 a.m. with Holy Communion at St. Faith'* Church, Ohincmutu, after which the conference adjourned to the Tunuhopu meeting house. The gathering generally laste for one or two daye, and proceedings ere conducted in the Maori language. On Saturday Biehop Bennett and Canon Williams will go to Taupo, where a confirmation service will be held on Sunday.
