ROWING.
NORTH SHORE CLUB. The staunch interest of old members, combined i with the untiring efforts of the active members, were the contributing factors In the successful reorganisation of the North Shore Rowing Club last season, states the report to be submitted at the annual general meeting. The special facilities offered to (young members proved successful, and the recommendation has oeen made that 'these be continued this season The encouragement given to secondary schools' rowing was well repaid, the Takapuna Grammar School's crews securing one win and one second place, while Allen Whaldale, a junior member of the club, had a scat in the Technical College crew, winners of the old boys* race. The boathouse was reroofed and painted, a work carried out by a friend of the club at no cost. 'All the old officers have expressed their -willingness to carry on. Special thanks are extended to Mr. P.
